Exit 247 B – WEST on Highway 33
Turn Right (north) onto MASON St.
Go thru 2 stop lights
At the next light - turn left onto GAY Street
Go to the next light and turn right
Turn IMMEDIATELY into the parking lot or get into the LEFT LANE and
go around Chanello's Pizza and park on Noll Street, in front of the
City Produce Exchange building (the old Wetsel Seed Warehouse building).

 Chef Caleb Noel

Chef Caleb was basically ‘born in the business’. A native Virginian, his experience and talents come from working at the side of his father and grandfather. The numerous years of this on-the-job-training offered opportunities for the nurturing and development of his own style and creativity. As a featured guest on WVPT Cooks with Tassie Pippert, Chef has made a name for himself locally. For owners Cookie & Steve, Chef Caleb was an obvious choice for this new kitchen. His professional journeys have led him from the Hotel Strasburg, South Street Grill and Spotswood Country Club to Downtown 56.

Chef is the proud father to daughters Cadence and Charlize.

Employment Opportunities

Applications available for pick up at the Host stand. All interviews will be scheduled by the Director of Operations after reviewing each application.

Sous Chef
Experienced applicants only. Capable of taking on the full responsibilities of a busy commercial kitchen in the absense of the Chef. Excellent communication skills for supervising and training staff. Menu planning and creating a productive and positive environment. Encourages personal growth for all members of the team.
Salary - To be discussed during the interview

Line Cook
Experience helpful but not necessary. Must be punctual. Able to follow directions and adhere to the guidelines set by the Chef and Sous Chef. Must be able to take orders in a very fast paced kitchen.
Continuous training provided.

Salad & Pantry
Tuesday - Friday Day shift. Responsible for preparing all items for salad unit; fresh vegetables, greens, salad dressings, and working the cold sandwich area of the kitchen.
Salary - To be discussed during the interview

Server Assistant
Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Responsible for clearing tables, expediting food, resetting tables, assisting servers in any way. Able to take directions from many and keep up in a very fast paced restaurant.
Salary - Server Assistant wages plus tips
